Use this if you’re launching a new podcast or relaunching/rebranding an existing one.
Phase 1: Foundation
Brand & Identity
[ ] Show name finalized (check that it’s not taken on Apple Podcasts and as a domain)
[ ] Show tagline / one-liner written
[ ] Target audience defined (specific person, not “everyone”)
[ ] Show format decided (interview, solo, panel, narrative, hybrid)
[ ] Episode length decided (and reasoning documented)
[ ] Release cadence decided (weekly, biweekly, etc.)
[ ] Release day and time decided (research when your audience listens)
Podcast Artwork
[ ] Cover art designed (3000x3000px, JPG or PNG, under 512KB)
[ ] Art is readable as a tiny thumbnail (test at 50x50px)
[ ] Episode template art created (if unique per episode)
Music & Audio Branding
[ ] Intro music selected or commissioned (royalty-free or licensed)
[ ] Outro music selected
[ ] Transition sounds / stingers (optional)
